So, five days a week I attended a happy hour from 4 pm to 6 pm. It would have been 7 days but they changed the days to Sunday through Thursday. They divided the happy hour between 'almost happy' hour and happy hour. My favorite beer was $4 when not on happy hour. $3 at almost happy hour and $2 on Super happy hours 4pm to 6pm. Significant savings for us retired folk. Of course, the employees hated the pricing because the checks were small. Just before I bailed, they accepted for summer at least. Only biz they had besides LGBT functions.  I liked the dining room bar because it was air-conditioned. The outside bar allowed smoking nearly outside. On one side of a narrow bar was smoking and on the other side non-smoking. They just couldn't train the smoke to stay where it was welcome.  The dining room bar had no live music but several big screen TV's. The DECYC has moved its unofficial clubhouse bar from the Nauti Parrot to the Pukin' Pelican. out! I'm not criticizing anyone's lifestyle or sexual preference but this used to be our favorite venue for watching weekend football? Sunday T-Dances have taken over the entire Dining Room bar! We will now do our football watching at the  Pukin' Pelican Waterfront Bar  or Busters Sports Bar! Un-happy Boatguy Ed In future Blogs; I'll tell ya'll why I don't go in the place anymore. I've always suspected that some Trump supporters are willfully ignorant but never met many. Last happy hour I was surrounded by them and they are determined to remain loyal despite all the evidence of the President's collusion with Russia and his most blatant lie. They always fall back on Obama but rarely do they espouse the idea that he was a Muslim Commie but my new friends were way up that stupid road? Boating is...by boatguy Ed While waiting for a 'friendly dock' to open at the Pukin' Pelican last weekend, I and the gang were sitting back while allowing more impatient boaters to go in front of us. It was a whole 10 minutes before an up current dock opened and we slid into the slip and allowed the outgoing tide to carry us over to our spot. At the bar we were accosted by a skipper we allowed to take one of the 'unfriendly docks'. He was miffed that we'd set him up to bang into the pilings. Point in fact, he was right. We had given up our place in the docking queue because of the way the tide was running. “ Why did you do that to me,” said the skipper wearing the Wisconsin Badger's t-shirt. When I was in Germany defending General Depot Kaiserslautern from the imminent Russian invasion there was an entirely believable scuttlebutt about a nuclear device buried in the middle of the vast storage depot. The big BOOM was scheduled to go off when the Ruskies were at the front gate. Obviously it never was used and eventually all the military hardware stored there became obsolete. If it is still there, I'm sure Trump will disable it!
